The 15th Minute
Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Simão Gonçalves (“we”, “us”, or “the Developer”) collects, uses, and shares information in connection with the mobile application The 15th Minute (“the App”), a single-player time-loop mystery game distributed on Google Play for Android.
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Who is responsible
The App is developed and published by Simão Gonçalves as an independent indie developer. For privacy-related requests, contact:
simao.goncalves.1993@gmail.com
2. Information we collect
The App does not require user accounts, email signup, or social login. We do not operate our own game servers that store your personal profile.
- Local game data (on your device only). Progress, clue logs, inventory state, loop progress, and preferences (including a local “ads removed” flag) are stored on your device using on-device storage. This data is used solely to run and restore your game and is not uploaded to servers controlled by the Developer.
- Advertising-related data (Google AdMob). The App may display advertisements through Google AdMob. Google and its partners may collect or process identifiers such as the Android Advertising ID, device and app information, IP address / approximate location, and ad interaction data, in accordance with Google’s policies.
- Purchase data (Google Play). Optional in-app purchases (for example, removing ads) are processed by Google Play. Payment card details and billing information are handled by Google, not by the Developer.
- Crash / diagnostics (if enabled by the platform). Google Play or related platform services may provide aggregated installation or crash statistics to the Developer. We do not intentionally collect personal content from these reports.
3. How we use information
- To provide core gameplay and save/restore progress on your device
- To display advertisements (unless you have removed ads)
- To recognize and honor a remove-ads purchase on the same device
- To improve stability and respond to privacy or support requests
- To comply with applicable law and Google Play / AdMob requirements
4. Legal bases (where applicable)
Depending on your location, we may process information based on: performance of the App features you request; our legitimate interest in operating, securing, and monetizing the App; and/or consent where required for personalized advertising under applicable rules.
5. Sharing of information
We do not sell your personal information. Information may be processed by third parties only as needed to provide the App:
- Google AdMob — advertising services. See Google Privacy Policy and AdMob & user privacy.
- Google Play — app distribution and in-app billing. See Google Privacy Policy.
These providers may process data on servers outside your country. Their handling of data is governed by their own privacy policies and terms.
6. Advertising preferences
You may be able to reset or limit the Advertising ID in your Android device settings, and manage ad personalization through your Google account settings where available. You may also purchase “Remove Ads” in the App (when offered) to stop ad display in the App.
7. Children’s privacy
The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, contact us at simao.goncalves.1993@gmail.com and we will take reasonable steps to delete it where applicable.
8. Data retention and deletion
- Local game data remains on your device until you clear the App’s storage, uninstall the App, or start a new simulation that erases saved progress.
- Advertising and purchase records retained by Google are controlled by Google under its policies.
- To request help regarding privacy, email simao.goncalves.1993@gmail.com. Because most App data is stored only on your device, uninstalling the App or clearing App data is usually the fastest way to remove local saves.
9. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate for a small indie App that stores progress locally. No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. Please keep your device updated and protected.
10. International users
If you use the App from outside the country where Google or other service providers process data, your information may be transferred to and processed in other countries. Those countries may have different data-protection laws than your own.
11. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR or similar laws), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing of personal data, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Because the Developer does not host user accounts or cloud saves, many requests relating to game progress are fulfilled by clearing local App data or uninstalling the App. For other requests, contact simao.goncalves.1993@gmail.com.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Material changes may also be reflected in the App store listing or in-App notice where appropriate. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
